Virginia To Vegas & Alyssa Reid

I was researching another band and came across Derik Baker’s project Virginia to Vegas on YouTube. I must have listened to ‘We Are Stars’ featuring Alyssa Reid for an entire hour, it was safe to say my research shot to hell – this song grabbed me!!

It’s one of those songs I will add to my ‘Motivate Me’ playlist mainly because the catchy melody makes the powerful lyrics seem breezy. Here’s a little truth, recently had this conversation with a new friend, we went from friendly playful banter to this intense deep conversation about life, love and letting go of fear. And I think one of the reasons why I gravitated towards this song is because it reflects everything we talked about. Suddenly, a bulb went off in my head and I love that feeling.

Damn LOVE that line! I’m a little late to the game but so far I’m really liking this band.
