Video: Tic Tic Boom! – How It Ends

Today, Tic Tic Boom! released a new video for their song ‘How It Ends’, directed by lead singer Leilani Francisco. If you follow the band on Instagram, Twitter and/or Facebook the last few weeks, you would have seen them leaving hints about the video shoot.

And my patience has been rewarded……

Its a great video and I simply was not prepared for the Romeo + Juliet twist I have to admit I was a blubbering fool by the end of this video. This video makes me EXCITED for the things to come with this band!

Enjoy!

Save the day for Tic Tic Boom’s EP release, ‘It’s The Heart That’s a Fool’ on October 8th!!

Video: Haim – Wrecking Ball (cover song)

Even though I havent posted much about Haim but I really like this band and I LOVE their version of Miley Cyrus song Wrecking Ball…..should I dare to say more than Miley’s version…? yes! That’s right I said it!

Damn Haim!!

Video: The Love Junkies – Maybelene

This isn’t my usual type of music but the song ‘Maybelene’ by Australian band The Love junkies is so freaking catchy! The Love Junkies can be heard on Triple J and played Southbound and Perth Big Day Out. I can imagine they put on an insane show! So i advise to catch them while you can!

Video: Dead Sara – Weatherman

This morning I decided to check out the Twitter recommends column on my feed and saw the name Dead Sara randomly and kinda glad I did. Well apparently I’m late to the part because it seems many have been following this LA band for some time and they even toured with Muse (not bad at all!). I would like to see this band live, I know it would be an intense experience.
It seems they’re currently working on a new album….will definately check it out when it’s released.

New Music: TicTic Boom!- These Motions

There’s is nothing like getting an email from one of your favorite bands with a link to their new music. So you can imagine the kind of happy dance I put on for my dog when I saw the Tic Tic Boom! email for their new song ‘These Motions’.

Mark your calendars –> new EP titled It’s the Heart That’s a Fool available October 8th! YAH!!

New Queen Caveat music….?

With all the bands I enjoy its hard to post about EACH one but the band Queen Caveat has been on my radar since a friend of mine took me to a show last year. So to my delight they posted a snippet of a new song and I HAD to post about it.

Enjoy!

I love strong female lead singer and Lauren Little fits the bill! Good god her voice is amazing!….seriously….need to watch that video again.

Review: Sage + The Saints – I Will Lie EP

sagecoverlogo-reverbnation

I Will Lie now available on iTunes!

Sage and the Saint’s new EP ‘I Will Lie’, is a well written homage to country music.

When I first listened to the EP the song ‘Love and Pain’ made me burst out in tears. Not the watery or welled up eyes but big fat tears that cause me to ugly cry right in the middle of my cubicle. Between the piano intro and Sage’s voice which is filled with so much emotion you have no choice to feel….something.

Lyrically it’s completely relatable and when I should have been paying attention to the EP, I began to think about my personal life. I love songs that make me think and drive me to make changes. If this was Sage’s goal then mission accomplished.

Her song writing has grown so much since her last EP ‘Learning to Walk’ (FYI Ashtray is still my favorite song!). When I first heard the song ‘Take me to the South’ I felt it was nice bar song and didn’t think too much about it. But it’s the song that I find myself humming the most. It’s the type of song that’ll pop in your head on a regular basis but not in that irritating way. It’s like finding a twenty dollar bill in your wallet – just makes you happy.

“Take me to the south where the things move slow, we can talk about life, the city been mean and I’m tired of these street….”

Now I know why she left LA for the Nashville!

To say I enjoyed this EP would be an understatement.

Check out her music—-> Sage
